In case you share the idea that carrying out work on desks is too mainstream, there is now an interesting alternative available for you. A startup based in Sonoma Valley called Artwork has recently unveiled a brand new product. Termed as the Altrwork Station, this new workstation enables people to sit or stand and work. It allows for a variety of positions to take whether a person is sitting or standing. The product is meant to cost as high as $5,900 but the first run is said to set you back by only $3,900.
The idea has been pitched in favour of designers, programmers as well as writers. Basically, anyone who uses a workstation for hours can reap great benefits from such an invention. The four modes offered by the Altwork Station can be configured using buttons installed on the surface of the desk. These include: collaboration, focus, regular and standing. While regular and standing modes are literally what they are called, collaboration allows users to turn the monitor on an arm built in to the system. Finally, focus mode allows users to recline their chairs in a horizontal position.
Magnets installed on the desk prevent the mouse, keyboard as well as the rest of the peripherals from falling over. A variety of positions offered with the system allow users to carry out various tasks with ease and grace. For instance, you might want to start our work standing and gradually recline as the day wears on in order to tackle the more intense tasks of the day. Atlwork connect seamless working in different positions with enhanced efficiency. That is why they have come up with this invention, afterall.
Some of you might be pleased to note that the colour scheme of these chairs can be customized as per the choice of the user. Presets are available for users to choose on the control panel. It would be rather difficult to fit these in cubicles of smaller offices, though. Thus, this might not be up everyone’s alley. However, for many others it would be just perfect. Either way, it makes work less hectic than before.
