First step
You must have noticed a spring in most click and write ballpoints. Just extract one of them from a pen which has run short on ink.
Second step
Stretch the spring sideways and attach it to the cable that you need protection for.
Third step
Twist the spring around the cable such that it firmly holds the cable. Doing this will make sure that the cable remains firm and upright. As a result, the wire will not be vulnerable to any serious damage in the future.
