The list that makes up the 7 wonders of the world is constantly being changed and updated to the point that some of us have gotten confused over what still remains on the list and what isn’t. But who could blame the person or people behind such changes – there are far too many stunning places on Earth and we believe the following 10 certainly do deserve a mention and possibly a visit, if you happen to be planning your next vacation.
10. Erg Chebbi
Location: Morocco
Just as, if not almost as impressive as the Sahara desert, the Erg Chebbi boasts a lovely view of wind-blown sand dunes – some as high as 150 meters – and stretch on for about 22 kilometers. If you happen to see people buried neck deep in the hot sands, don’t be alarmed though because the sands of Erg Chebbi are believed to have the ability to heal bodily pains.
9. Bryce Canyon

You’d think that the Bryce Canyon would be filled with magnificent canyons just like the Grand Canyon is but in spite of its name, this natural wonder is actually populated by tons of natural amphitheaters comprising of unique looking pillars that have an equally unique name – hoodoos.
8. Pantanal
Location: Brazil
Playing host to some of the most beautiful and amazing flora and fauna, the Pantanal – also the world’s largest wetland – is certainly a sight to behold.
7. Playa Ostional
Location: Costa Rica
Thousands of turtles flood the shores of the Playa Ostional every year to nest and lay their eggs which is why this beautiful Costa Rican beach also happens to be a national park. If you intend to make your way to the Playa Ostional for your next holiday, be sure to do so during the nesting season – if you’re lucky, you just might find yourself in the presence of a very incredible sight.
6. Blue Lagoon
Location: Iceland
It has been said that a dip in this particular natural wonder will medicate skin disorders such as psoriasis. Even if such a claim may just turn out be untrue, the beauty of the Blue Lagoon is enough to have tons flocking to its waters every year. Its icy blue hue may contribute to it looking deceptively chilly but the temperature actually ranges from 98 to 102 °F.
