It’s finally here! For those of you who loving checking Twitter from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch have probably been using ,or at least heard of, Tweetbot.
This incredible intuitive mobile application has been hyping a crossover to Mac for the longest time and now it’s out… sort of. It’s currently in it’s Alpha (v0.6) phase and is looking for willing participants to download and test this highly anticipated Twitter machine.
The design of the app is very similar to that of Twitter for Mac but much more slick. There is a great host of options in the side panel and a friendly little reminder at the top of your feed to let you know there’s more to read. The best thing about it, so far, has been the gesture support. If you’ve used Tweetbot on the iPhone or iPad, you know that when swipe right on a tweet it brings up the conversation view, which shows if anyone has replied to that tweet, and when you swipe left it will expand the tweet and give you numerous options of what to do with it.
The profile view is also much more in-depth and informative than Twitter for Mac, and it won’t push you to the browser when seeing who follows that person or any other facts that should simply appear within the app.
Because it is still in Alpha, you will encounter a few bugs during use but it has been pretty stable thus far. You can download it now from here, so whether you’re already a fan or just curious it is definitely worth taking a look. Best of luck!
