The biggest full moon or simply SuperMoon was observed on Saturday May 5th, 2012. People worldwide witnessed this amazing site, said to be the biggest in nearly 20 years and 30 percent brighter than a normal moon. At its most super, the moon was just 221,802 miles away from Earth — about 15,300 miles closer than average.
