From it’s start, Internet scams were pretty much there to take advantage of innocent internet users who had no idea that they could be exploited and tricked into a scam — tempting unaware users into clicking bogus links and ad bars on sites such as Test your I.Q, You Won a Lottery, Make money on the internet etc.

Not even the most knowledgeable and tech savvy users are spared by these malicious scams, who are eventually trapped in one way or the  other.

Like any other year, 2011 also saw its fair share of internet scams and Better Business Bureau has compiled an infographic of the Top 10 scams of 2011 —  where the top scam is rather a funny coincident where some malicious party pretended to be the BBB itself and sent mails to small business owners fooling them to download an information-stealing malware.
