Yes, good news for all the eager buyers of the latest, state of the art tablet the iPad. Apple confirmed today that the new iPad would arrive at stores on 8.am local time on March 16th. Initially, it would be sold in U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland and the U.K., along with Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Apple is also providing a free of cost service to those who buy the new tablet from its stores — where a store employee would help you in customizing your tablet and setting up e-mail, apps etc. It would also be available at other stores such as Best Buy, Radio Shack, Sam’s Club, Target, and Walmart, as well as via wireless carriers AT&T and Verizon.
According to the company the new tablet would reach rest of the world that includes Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden on March 23.
According to reports Apple might as well sell over a million units of the tablet on coming Friday alone. It has been pushing the delivery date of pre-ordered devices further and further which indicates a huge volume of orders. A company representative said that the device would be sold on “First come, First serve” basis which means that there might only be limited stock available at stores on Friday.
Obviously a lot of people would want to get their hands on the new iPad that comes with a smacking Retina display, improved 5-Mp rear cam, 4G LTE capability and a latest A5x cpu with quad core graphics. The 16 GB Wifi version is priced at $499 and goes upto $899 for a 64 GB 3G model.
