Sony has just announced two new smartphones, the Xperia P and Xperia U, at the Mobile World Congress being held in Barcelona. It was the first press conference by Sony since it bought Ericsson out of mobile partnership. The new smartphones now comes under Sony’s own Mobile Communications division.
Moving on to the features, the Sony Xperia P has an aluminium-built casing, 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, NFC support and a 4-inch display screen with Reality Display and WhiteMagic technology that will enable better viewing angles in bright light.
The similarly designed Xperia U smartphone will have 3.5-inch reality display, 5MP camera powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor. There is now news yet whether these smartphones will run Ice Cream Sandwich or an older version of Android.
Price and Availablity:
Both smartphones will be available from Q2 2012 in three finishes, while the prices are yet to be revealed.
