Jealous of Android users who launch apps via their lock screen? Well, if you are jailbroken, then you have nothing to worry about, as a new tweak by the name of “LockLauncher” allows you to launch up to 9 apps directly from your Lock Screen.
Not to be confused with the other tweak that is also named “LockLauncher”, this one is a brilliant little tweak which places up to 9 apps of your choice on your lock screen, allowing you to directly launch them.
Check out the video below, put up by the creative folks at iDB, to get an idea of how this tweak functions.
Tap the blue arrow in the upper left-hand corner of your Lock screen enters “edit mode”, so you can manually tap each icon you want to add an app to.
One thing that you have to note is, if you have enabled your passcode lock, then you will have to unlock your device before using this tweak. That might seem a bit irritating, but this it surely does not compromise on your security.
The only downside to this tweak is the animation. When you open an app from your lock screen, their is an unlock animation and then the opening animation of the app itslef.
Still, if you are interested in it, you can download this from the Modmyi repo via Cydia for free.
