iPad 3 rumors have been on the top of the rumor mill these days with rumours of leaked iPad 3 parts circulating all over the internet.
One of Apple’s manufacturing partners, Pegatron Technology, has reportedly already landed a small volume of orders for the upcoming iPad 3.
As DigiTimes reports, they have got this news from a reliable source.
The sources pointed out that Apple will also start changing its outsourcing strategy and will have Pegatron primarily focus on production of the iPad series products with production of the iPhone series products as an auxiliary in 2013, while the strategy for Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) is vice versa.
They further report that,
The sources noted that Apple’s new strategy is meant to decrease risk and increase the quality of its products and the company has already visited Pegatron’s plants in China several times recently to ensure the smoothness of the shipment process.
Pegatron has only started production for a small quantity of iPad 3 for now, which is expected to be released in March. Apple will also continue to increase the quality of its products and to ensure that, the company has already visited Pegatron’s plants in China several times recently.
Although DigiTimes report that an iPad 4 is also under consideration by Apple, but most analysts do not believe in it as Apple has never released two products in the same line in a single year. As one could damage other’s sales.
So lets see, if these rumors are true and Apple is really bringing a high-end iPad 3 to get its glory back from Android tablets such as the Kindle Fire, Toshiba Excite X10(the world’s thinnest tablet) and the ASUS Transformer Prime(the world’s first quad-core tablet).
