CES 2012 continues to amaze us all! After the launch of the Toshiba’s world’s thinnest tablet and Acer’s world’s thinnest ultrabook, here comes the world’s new thinnest Android phone! Woohoo!

Humawei’s super sleek Ascend P1 S measures just 0.26 inches while the Droid Razr(the previous record holder) measures 0.28 inches — that makes Ascend P1 S the world’s thinnest smartphone(for now).

Meanwhile, Ascend P1 S features include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with Gorilla glass, 960 x 540 display, 1080p 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 720p 1.3-megapixel camera at the front — both cams have the capability of HD video recording. It is powered by a dual-core TI OMAP 4460 1.5 GHz processor, SGX540 graphics processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB storage and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Additional features include a light sensors to allow capturing better pictures in low light, dual-LED flashes, HDR effect, quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, pentaband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 HS.

The phone will be released worldwide(except U.S.) in Q2 2012 and will be available in metallic black, ceramic white and cherry-blossom pink. However, there is no news yet on pricing.
