It is old news now that hackers have been trying to port Siri from the iPhone 4S to other iOS 5 devices. Although a small number of hackers did manage to hack Siri and port it to the iPhone 4 and the iPod Touch 4G, they were still unable to make a public release of it without landing themselves in trouble with Apple.

But now, another hacker and developer, Eric Day has uploaded a tweak on Cydia, which allows you to have the Siri Dictation Feature on other iOS 5 devices(including the iPhone 4,iPod Touch 4G and the iPhone 3GS).

This tweak called “Siri0us” allows you to have the Siri Dictation feature on your iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G or even the iPhone 3GS. The great thing about this tweak is that you don’t have to download any extra iPhone 4S files or anything else. Just download the tweak from Cydia and it is up and running.

Their are no problems in the iPhone 4 being slow or something else regarding this Dictation feature. You can see this in the video embedded below:

The down side to this tweak is that the developer has noted a bug which some may run into when trying to install. If your iDevice keeps respringing, do not restore! Use a SSH tool to remove the /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AssistantServices.framework file.

You can get this tweak by simply adding the repo to Cydia and then searching for Siri0us. Remember that it is a “Zero” in place of the o in “Siri0us”.

This tweak is available for free, so if you have an iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G or the iPhone 3GS and it is jailbroken, then do give this tweak a try.
