Samsung Unveils Galaxy Nexus Smartphone, Runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

The wait is finally over folks! Samsung and Google have just unveiled the must awaited Galaxy Nexus(not the Nexus Prime) smartphone at an event held in Hong Kong this morning.

Its features include a huge 4.65-inch, 720p Super AMOLED display screen, a 5 megapixel LED flash rear camera capable of video recording at 1080p and capaturing panorama images, a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, LTE and HSPA+ connectivity and 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth 3.0. The Galaxy Nexus smartphone will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, has 1GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal storage and runs Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich”.

In addition to the features mentioned above, there’s also a facial recognition feature for phone unlocking, improved keyboard, options to instantly edit images after capturing and improved sharing between Android smartphones using Android Beam.

Pricing and Availability:

The Galaxy Nexus will be launched in U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia next month. There is no news yet on pricing.
