This photograph which you can see below is allegedly taken by an Engineer who works at Apple. After taking a closer look at the details it seems that it has been shot using a better camera than the camera available on the iPhone 4, despite of the fact that it has also been captured using the Cupertino’s current flagship device.
I think you know where I am going with this. It means that this photograph has not been taken using the iPhone4‘s 5 megapixel camera, rather it has been taken using an iPhone 5 prototype having better and improved camera.
The EXIF data which is the main compartment of information stored in the picture gives details such as dimensions, camera details and focal length of the image. When this image’s EXIF data was dug out it was revealed that this image is not the full image, but it has been dissected or cropped to 2235×2291(which means about 5.12 MP). But the main thing that was revealed was the original image was much larger at 3264×2448 which means almost 8 megapixels. There has been a long speculation that Apple will upgrade its 5 megapixel camera and maybe they have done that.
The camera feature of iPhone’s previous models has been a real hit among users. Many people do not spend thousands of dollars on cameras of popular companies such as Cannon and the likes, instead they go and buy the iPhone.
Maybe designers would not miss the opportunity and introduce a better camera on the newest iPhone. And an 8 megapixels camera would suffice along with some other improvements.
