Samsung has unveiled a mid-range Android tablet called the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus which is just 9.96 mm thin and weighs 345 g. However, the addition of this new gadget to Samsung Galaxy Tab family does come as a surprise to many.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus comes with a 7-inch, 1024×600 pixel display screen, 1GB of RAM, 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU and runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb. There’s a 3-megapixel camera at the back and a 2-megapixel camera at the front to support video chatting. The tablet comes with 16 GB/32 GB of storage space, and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and 3G/HSPA.
Pricing details are yet to be announced.
The tablet is expect to launch in Indonesia and Austria by the end of October. International launch will be announced later.
Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is the second 7-inch Android tablet that has made it debut this week — first was the $199 Amazon Kindle Fire.
