New iPhone And iPod Touch Models Show Up In Apple's Inventory [REPORT]

Most of us are expecting that Apple is going to release only the fifth generation iPhone at media event on October 4th, but this news will change those expectations.

9to5Mac has reported that five new devices have shown up in Apple’s inventory. Three of them are supposedly new iPod touch models while the remaining two are new iPhone models.

The new iPod touches seem to have the product code SKU N81A. SKU is some sort of a code that is used in large inventories to identify any specific product. As far as we know, N81 was the product code for the fourth generation black iPod touch. The three new models seem to be some sort of revised versions of the previous models and there is a possibility that the new iPod touch will be offered in white colour.

The white colored iPod touch might be a reality because last month a report was surfacing on the internet which showed white faceplate surface for the iPod touch.

When we talk about the remaining two products, these products have been codenamed as SKU N90A. iPhone 4 was codenamed as SKU N90 and we can hence speculate that the these two products might just be some modified pieces of the well known iPhone 4.

We already knew about the SKU N94 devices that were found in the iOS SDK which possibly represents the new iPhone 5. Lets wait and see what the 4th October’s event at the Apple Campus in Cupertino has in store for us.
