The rumored release date for the launch and showcasing of the next generation iPhone is coming closer with each day folding. And as usual, the rumors are surfacing on the internet even faster than expected. According to recent reports, Apple will be launching the iPhone 5 in October after a leaked Best Buy document hints at October 21st launch.
All the rumors do suggest that the new iPhone will be thinner than its predecessors and will host a fairly larger screen. In late July, an alleged original design document for the iPhone 5 found its way into the hands of some phone case manufacturers. These manufactures have been thinking of this design document as the original piece. Their faith in the purportedly leaked document lies in the fact that many of these manufacturers have also rolled out iPhone 5 cases even before its release.
Well since everybody is trying to figure out the exact design of the iPhone 5; how were we supposed to be left out?
The designers at Macrumors attempted to make the design with the help of the cases available in the market. They estimated a size of about 4.7″ x 2.6″. When they put an iPhone 4 in a possible iPhone 5 case they find that the previous model is actually thicker and smaller in overall size.
The screen size has also been enlarged. When the iPhone 5 case is carefully examined with respect to previous cases and iPhones, the screen size is very close to 4-inches. This also contradicts the latest report by Digitimes, according to which the size of the screen should lie between 3.5″ to 3.7″.
These are all rumors. But when we look at how seriously some rumors have been taken we might take an idea of the latest addition to the array of smartphones produced by Apple. Keeping all in view, Apple as a company keeps itself a little secretive over its future arsenal of technological equipments. We will have to wait and see what the actual iPhone 5 looks like and if the risk of the manufacturers actually paid off.
