Pictures of the next version of Android smartphone operating system called “Ice Cream Sandwich” were leaked to the world yesterday.
The new version contains some new features like panorama mode for its camera, a new Gmail theme and the ability for old Android devices to upgrade to the new version. In addition to that, there is a new launcher and app drawer, an improved notification bar and some colour changes.
The upgrade is expected to be released sometime in October, accompanied by some Ice Cream Sandwitch based devices. According to some sources, Google is delaying the launch due to long awaited release of Apple’s iPhone 5 (release expected in September), so that some new features can be added after reviewing iPhone 5.
