Paulo David Amorim, an 11-year-old boy from Mossoro, Brazil has been dubbed “Magnet Boy” because of his magnet-like qualities — metal objects seems to stick to his skin.

In a television footage shown on Globo TV network, Paulo demonstrated how his body attract metal objects such as spoons, scissors, cooking pans etc. and remain stuck on his chest, stomach and back.

I was very surprised when I came to know about my son’s magnetism, said the boy’s father.

I asked him to bring a  a knife and fork, and much to my surprise, they stuck.

According to Doctor Dix-Sept Rosado Sobrinho, he has never seen a case like Paulo David in his 30 year career.

We can see that there is a certain adhesiveness, that he does manage to make several objects stick to his body, some of which are pretty heavy, but it is not completely out of the ordinary.

Paulo’s friends have started to call him “Magnetic Boy” and ask him to demonstrate his “magnetic powers” with different objects.

In school, everyone asks me to put things on my body, they think it is a trick.
