Sony has revealed its Next-Gen PlayStation Portable at an event in Tokyo today. It’s actually codenamed NGP or “Next Generation Portable.”
Its features include a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 5-inch touch-sensitive OLED 960 x 544 resolution screen, tilt-sensitive SIXAXIS controls, dual analog sticks, 3G, WiFi, GPS, front & back-facing cameras, touch sensitive back panel and a quad-core PowerVR SGX534MP4+ GPU.
The console come with a built-in software LiveArea, which will allow people to connect to nearby nearby gamers. Sony says the new PSP will be compatible with the PlayStation Suite and is backwards-compatible with downloadable PSP games and content from Sony’s PlayStation Store.
