Japanese have been creating realistic robots for years, and now one robot was deemed emotive enough to have a stint on stage. Hiroshi Ishiguro’s Gemenoid-F is co-starring in a Japanese play where she plays the role of a caretaker assigned to a dying girl.
Most of the action is done behind the scenes, with nothing pre-programmed. The robot has no ego like humans and does what is told. Here’s a video of her in action, or “acting”. 😀
