It could Apple’s next first-generation device to join the ranks of the company’s many multi-generational products like the iPhone, iPod, iPad, and even the Apple TV. Some very realistic photos have been leaked (courtesy Sonny Dickson’s Twitter feed) to show us a preview of what may come in the near future.

This is the supposed rival to Google’s Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire devices with a 7.85-inch screen for those fanboys and consumers who want a smaller consumption and production device. It should boast the new Lightning connector, as seen in the photo above, and maybe some of the specs we’ve seen in the iPhone 5.
There looks to be front and back cameras, stereo speakers, and the same side-mounted buttons, and with the introduction of the A6 chip in the iPhone 5, we could see some amazing performance from this tiny tablet.
There has been rumors of Apple sending out invites for the iPad Mini release later this week for next week, so we will keep you updated as the story progresses.
