Here we go again, it’s another iPad Mini rumor coming down the pipeline and this time it’s got some evidence to assist in its validity. That latest speculation is claiming that the little brother to Apple’s iPad will be the same shape as the iPod Touch, thinner bezel and form factor.

This piece of tech gossip has gained such a following behind it that some case makers are already preparing to be the first with an iPad Mini case and cash in on the immediate rush for accessories that is sure to happen if this product is made a reality.

It has been understood across all the fanboy forums that the iPad Mini will at least keep the same aspect ratio as its bigger sibling but the pressing question now is if it will keep same relative size bezel. The reason behind the bezel is for the ease of carrying and using the iPad around without activating the multi-touch screen, thus preventing unwanted actions on your post-PC device.

But now by trimming up the border around the iPad Mini’s screen then the designers of this schematic are assuming consumers will be holding this latest iDevice like they would the iPhone or iPod Touch, gripped around the back. While for some people, this is easy and simple to do, but not every person on the planet (Apple’s usual target audience) has a 5.3 inch wide grasp to make this modification worth it.

These schematics do seem to follow with the latest iOS device rumors, including the smaller dock connector and thinner teardrop shape width, so that does give it some leverage towards the truth in this case.

Like with all rumors that pop out of the shadows before the actual unveiling, if it should ever happen, only time will tell who is right, wrong, or just totally surprised about what September 12th may bring.
