The Slide-To-Unlock gesture has been a part of Apple devices since the very first iPhone. But perhaps the traditional unlock gesture is seeming quite boring now, being so many years old. Even Android’s unlocking system gets a few tweaks each year.
We have been seeing a lot of new concepts for Apple devices these days, including the LiquidMetal and iPhone+, and now a designer named Anton Kudin has come up with a “Fold To Unlock” concept for iPhone, which not only looks quite different from the current one, but is pure awesomeness.
As you can see above, this fold-to-unlock looks a geeky and cool way to unlock your phone. Not to mention impressing your friends too. You might have noticed that the Galaxy devices have a swipe-the-screen kind of unlock gesture, and though this one is similar to it, but will seem a lot cooler and unique because of the screen folding animation. Infact, we think that we haven’t seen a better unlocking animation in any smartphone yet.
And while it is up to Apple to officially put this concept in action, jailbreakers might even get to use it without Apple’s permission. So we request any app developer who is reading this article, to come up with an app like this and release it on the app-market for jailbreakers, Cydia.
