Artists use materials in different purposes to show off their creativity. Use of materials for an unprecedented piece of artwork can be seen here can be seen here. Jenine Shereos who is a world famous Sculptor & an installation artist has created these subtle, close to weightless tree leaves and that too just by tying the individual strands of human hair together. Sourced from her website:
In the photos shows here, recreated form of the particulars of a leaf’s veining is done by means of covering, stitching & knotting the strands of human hair together. This particular piece of work is inspired from the leaf’s subtle & detailed venation. I started stitching individual strands of hair with the help of hand into the material which is soluble in water. The points where each strand of hair got intersected with another, a small knot was stitched in order that whenever the backing got dissolved, the total art piece could form a shape. This has been a contemplative process of work for me as I discovered myself indulged into the world of micro organic microcosms tying together taking shape.
