Apple has been releasing the beta versions of iOS 5.1 for quite a while. The first beta of iOS 5.1 got seeded to developers in November 2011. It was hoped to fix the battery issues and some other bugs, but there is no confirmation of any bug fixes yet. Then came the second beta of iOS 5.1 just two weeks before the christmas.
And now, Apple has seeded iOS 5.1 Beta 3 to developers.
According to the developers, neither of the two previous versions have brought any new specific features. The latest version is given build number 9B5141a and it requires 76.3MB storage space.
There is no news of any new features in this one either. It just says,
This beta version of iOS 5.1 contains bug fixes and improvements.
So what is the reason of dropping updates after updates without any noticeable improvements? I think we will know eventually as the final version gets released. You can download the iOS 5.1 Beta 3 if you have a developer‘s account at Apple.
