iPhone 4S has been the most successful iPhone yet, with first day sales topping one millon and it being claimed as the best camera phone till now. Siri has also played a good role in its success. 1028 battery 640 01 iOS 5.1: Battery Issues Still Present, No Improvement

Despite releasing a flow of updates, Apple has still been unable to address these issues.

First Apple released the iOS 5.0.1, but was unable to fix the battery issues in it and Apple itself confirmed that the iOS 5.0.1 did not fix any battery woes.

Just a few days ago, Apple seeded the first beta of iOS 5 to developers. Many hoped that it would fix those battery issues, but developers are now reporting that there is no improvement in the battery life of their iPhone 4S.

So what is the reason for releasing update after update and still being unable to fix those battery issue? It just makes people irritated and frustrated, as they have to make a backup on iCloud each time they want to restore and still there is no improvement in the battery life.

Have you downloaded iOS 5.1? If you have, then please let us know about your iPhone‘s battery life in the comments section below.

The upgrade didn’t make a difference, I should’ve stuck with my android..

Why does every article I read about this specifically cite iPhone 4S users as having battery trouble with iOS5?

The 4S never came with anything BUT iOS5. What about those of us on regular iPhone 4 and 3GS that have seem massive drops in battery life with IOS5?

I used to be able to play music for a good couple of hours and see the battery drop by maybe 1%. If I wasn’t really using it then it would happily sit all day and not drop a single percentage point. In real world use I could go up to 3 days without charging. iOS 5 means I have to charge every day and I’m constantly checking whether I have enough juice to get me through my next outing.

If I could downgrade to iOS4 then I would, but there’s no going back and 5.1 seems to have made little to no difference. I don’t think Apple are taking these issues seriously at all.
