So the iPhone 4S hasn’t been three months old, and the rumors of the next iPhone, probably the iPhone 5 have started circulating. The iPhone 4S lacked only one thing, change of design and a bigger screen. While most of the Apple fans were hoping for a major redesign accompanied by a bigger screen size. So now, it looks like that Apple is trying to meet people’s hope by making a completely redesigned iPhone 5 with an aluminium back.
As reported by BGR, they have learned a number of details surrounding Apple’s next-generation iPhone from a close source.
They confidently say that the next iPhone would land in the fall of 2012 — around the same time as the iPhone 4S. They also report that Apple is planning to use a rubber or plastic material — similar to the material used in the company’s bumper cases — that will be built into the new iPhone case. This material, as they say, will be used as a bezel to surround the front edge of the phone.
This surrounding layer will have two purposes,
- It will join the glass iPhone face with a new aluminum back plate.
- The other purpose it will serve will be that it will also cover a redesigned antenna system that surrounds the device. Therefore, allowing Apple to build the rear case out of aluminum without having to use a large plastic insert above the antennas as the company does on its iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G.
As many other blogs have been claiming of an Aluminium backed iPhone 5, so we guess that these rumors will probably be true and the new the new Aluminium backed iPhone 5 will be landing in 2012. Meanwhile, there are rumours of the iPhone 5 coming with a 4 inch screen size.
What is your opinion, is this Aluminium backed iPhone 5 up to your hopes or not?
