Apple has just made the iPhone 4S official at Let’s Talk iPhone event in Cupertino, CA. It will be the first dual-mode world phone supporting both GSM and CDMA and will have the same design as the iPhone 4.
Other features include Apple-made A5 Processor with dual core graphics (up to 7 times faster than in the previous iPhone), 8 hours of talk time, 14 hours of 2g talk time, 6 hours of 3g browsing, 9 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, 10 hours of video, and 40 hours of music.
An all new 8MP camera with faster sensor along with an IR for better colour accuracy, f/2.4 aperture, 1080p HD video recording with image stabilization and noise reduction, and a new ‘intelligent’ antenna technology for enhanced call quality.
It will also support 14.4Mbps HSPA compared to 7.2Mbps on iPhone 4. The new model also comes with Siri — “your humble personal assistant” that we have been hearing about for the past few weeks.
iPhone 4S will be available in both Black and White colours with 16GB/32GB/64GB storage.
For the first time ever, iPhone will be available on Sprint — other carriers include AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Preorders will start on the 7th and released on the 14th of this month.
Shipping will start on October 14 in USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, France and Germany.
16GB for $199, 32GB for $299, 64GB for $399 on a 2-year contract.
