The news doesn’t come as a surprise, as many reports suggested the media event will be held on October 4th at Apple’s Cupertino campus, instead of San Francisco where the company usually announces its products.

There is no news yet on who will present the keynote at the event, but it is very likely the new CEO Tim Cook will take the center stage. In addition to the announcement of the iPhone 5, we could also see a glimpse of the next-generation Apple hardware on October 4th.

We are glad that Apple’s rumour mill is now going to stop producing rumours about the iPhone 5 and turn its focus towards iPhone 6 and iPad 3.
