Apple’s new CEO Tim cook will unveil the next generation iPhone in an annual media event on October 4th, according to a new report published today.

According to sources close to the situation, where the tech giant will unveil the next iteration of its popular iPhone.
While Apple could certainly change its plans anytime, sources said that the Oct. 4 date has been selected by the company to showcase the iPhone 5. Sources added that the plan is now to make the new device available for purchase within a few weeks after the announcement.
Prior to this, some reports suggested the annual media event will be held on October 5th, while few others claimed that it could happen on October 15th.
Whenever the media event takes place, we are pretty much sure the iPhone 5 will not be the only device that is going to be unveiled. There are rumours that Apple is set to launch a revised version of the iPhone 4 called the iPhone 4S along with the next generation iPhone featuring an A5 processor, bigger display and battery.
