Controlling Robots through gesture based commands is now a reality!!
Folks from the The Flying Machine Arena at the Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control ETH Zurich have successfully controlled a quadrocopter robot with gestures using Microsoft Kinect.
The flying robot is controlled by a puppeteer who waves his hands to give commands. The right hand is used to control the movements, while left hand is used to tell the robot to do a full 360-degree flip. A commanding clap tells it to sit down like a nice chap.
